STOCKHOLM HOUSE

Situated in a former Methodist church dating back to 1894 on Majorsgatan in central Stockholm, this project involved a unique design challenge: transforming a historic space into a contemporary club while preserving its original architectural features. With large portions of the building—such as the facade and the main church hall—designated as heritage-protected, we adopted a design approach that both celebrates and restores these elements to their former glory.

Drawing inspiration from 1970s Scandinavian minimalism, we curated a tonal color palette and incorporated fabrics from local designers, allowing the vibrant hues of the stained glass to shine. Bespoke furniture was crafted specifically for the space, including the Aline sofa, designed to foster intimate conversations, and the Maren armchair, a reimagined Scandinavian wingback in boucle.

The art collection features works by over 70 Swedish artists, including a striking silk mohair installation by Bella Rune, suspended from the main church ceiling. In the House Kitchen, we designed a menu rooted in Swedish flavors, while Cecconi’s offers Northern Italian cuisine, complemented by Nordic-inspired interiors with wool-upholstered chairs and a signature striped marble floor.

By blending historical charm with contemporary Scandinavian design, we've created a space that feels both timeless and inviting—an inspiring setting to connect, relax, and create.
